AttacK Wing

Star Trek: Attack Wing is a tactical space combat miniatures game, featuring pre-painted ships from the Star Trek Universe. The miniatures use the fit in blister scale which means a 1km long warbird is only twice the length on a 100m scout. You can pick and choose a range of miniatures that are sort of in scale with each other. They also contain more ships from the TNG era and DS9 so are they best range to collect these later model ships from. The contain ships from the Dominion, Cardassia, Borg and Breen. There are a system of related games that use the same miniatures Star Trek Fleet Captains being another example.

The good news is that they are prepainted, they are also pre based. There are a lot of them about and they are still in production in 2023. Best place again is eBay but they are expensive if Mint on Card MOC they are about $15 depending on rarity. It’s better to look for people selling their whole collection then you can get a lot of ships for a fraction of the price. There are several box sets with rules that have a better value. But for a big fleet its expensive and the poor scale compatibility make them a bit limited.

The game Star Fleet Captains also uses the Attack Wing Models but they are unpainted, this is actually an cost effective way to buy them as the box sets contains a good range of ships. Get them while you still can. The scale problems seems even worse though as the fleets have a large range of ship classes.

If you want a cost effective scaled solution this is not the way to do it.
